Technology has drastically transformed human lives. I believe that the internet in particular, stands out at the forefront of this transformation with humans relying on it to get almost all of their work done. Be it paying bills, booking tickets, talking to loved ones, or searching information, one can get anything done in just a click. The increasing importance of the internet, plus my parents, who are working in an IT company, influenced me to become tech-savvy, leading to the completion of my bachelor's in computer science. While computer science offers a wide scope for a career, my fascination lies in developing websites. Nevertheless, during many client meetings, I realised that the clients always looked up to me for providing them with strategic techniques to use technology to drive their business. Upon further research, I learned about the gap in the Indian market for IT consultants with a huge demand for the same. To open up new job opportunities and advance my career in the IT field, I aspire to become an independent IT consultant in the long-term. To achieve this goal, I am looking forward to securing a seat in the MSc programme in computer science.

To acquire knowledge in computers, I completed my higher secondary with computers as an elective subject. This specific year provided me with the foundational knowledge of software, hardware, programming, and data management. After this, I was eager to master my skills in information Technology, therefore, I joined the PCTE Group of Institutions and completed my bachelor's degree. The 'learning centric' instead of 'teaching centric' methodology of this college rendered vast knowledge of Digital Electronics, Computer Networks, DBMS, web development, and cloud computing. Due to my oratory skills, I used to partake in debates and host events at school and college. 'Kashish', the acclaimed three-day fest of PCTE, was also hosted by me. Thanks to these learning years of mine, I became ambitious, creative, curious, flexible, and cooperative. I joined a company named Designogram for industrial training during the fifth semester, where I curated websites using HTML, CSS, and Java. My college placement cell helped me to attain a job in a web development company in my locality named “FlyMedia Technology”. I worked there for 2.5 years and became proficient in full stack development which helped me build a solid foundation in Java. Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I am passionate about playing cricket and have played in many state-level tournaments.

I expect to advance my knowledge in this ever changing landscape with the Advanced Computer Science MSc Programme at the University of Liverpool, given its renowned methodology training and resourceful faculties. In particular, the coursework will enhance my foundational knowledge in IT systems and networks allowing me to work and implement the latest technology, which is an integral skill required to become an IT consultant.I believe the course's knowledge will not only fill my gaps in technical skills but also inculcate in me the required leadership skills to work at a higher position.

Moreover, the university's teaching methodology includes tools such as Gantt charts, research projects, and literature review helping me plan and understand my academic development. In addition to this, the university provides a year of industry experience after completion of the course, giving an insight into the real-world business setting.After completion of my degree from the University of Liverpool, I aim to get placed as an IT consultant in a reputed firm. With my enhanced knowledge and job position, I will be able to provide strategic advice to business owners on leveraging technology.By gaining sufficient experience and establishing a business network, I wish to transition from the corporate world in the long-term. I aspire to embark on an entrepreneurial journey and become an independent IT consultant. The exposure gained at Liverpool will enable me to work towards my short-term and long-term goals.I look forward to contributing to the university's interdisciplinary atmosphere and volunteering to write blogs for 'Sustainable Liverpool' owing to my proficiency in writing. I also aspire to contribute to the schools in remote villages in India, which are devoid of technology. I wish to do the same by working with nonprofit organisations such as eVidyaloka, which aim to provide access to education for children in rural areas. I wish to fulfil my dream by securing a seat for a master's degree at your esteemed university.

Since my early days, I have been passionate about cars and loved learning about new models, their specifications, and prices. Moreover, I used to be amazed at how this device got to know if the passenger was wearing a seat belt or not and started giving signals accordingly. Taking my childhood passion of working with computers and electronic gadgets coupled into consideration, I pursued a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. However, the birth of my younger brother with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) altered my plans. I extensively researched the disease and came across articles by Stephen Hawking who requested Mr. Arun Mehta, a renowned software developer, to develop an application for disabled people. The functionality of his software and the accomplishments of Stephen Hawking fascinated me, inspiring me to create something for my brother. Subsequently, I decided to develop a sensor-based wearable based on IoT. To accomplish this goal, I need to gain insights into hardware platforms, specifically Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Hence, I decided to pursue my master's in computer science.

My problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills assisted me in procuring a seat at Vellore University, Chennai, for a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. Here, I dedicatedly acquired knowledge in Electric Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Network Theory, Semiconductor Devices, Measurement and Instrumentation, and Special Electrical Machines. During my on-campus training, I developed an Automatic Smoke Detector Alarm. Although it may not have been the most significant achievement, the experience of developing a complete sensor system on my own helped me gain confidence in my skills. In this, I used infrared sensors that monitor the premises they are connected with. These sensors get obstructed once smoke reaches near to it. This project made me confident enough to pursue my profession in the same stream. However, this was the time my younger brother turned three and the family got to know that he has autism. It was a daunting and depressing situation because no one was understanding my brother's emotions. I searched a lot on the internet about this disease. Then, I came to know about Mr. Arun Mehta, who developed software for Stephen Hawking, an English theoretical physicist, and cosmologist, to type and speak with a single button.Considering Mr. Arun Mehta my afflatus, I decided to create sensory software for my brother as well. Therefore, I started learning various aspects of computing through the 'CS50: Introduction to Computer Science' course by Harvard University. The 11-week long course laid the foundational knowledge of the programming language of Python along with HTML and CSS.

In the meantime, I was enlightened by my tutor that to build an IoT based project I need to learn languages such as C++ and Python. This time, I wanted to have hands-on experience with programming language, therefore, I searched for the best college in the USA for a Masters in Computer Science. And, finally found that Georgia Institute of Technology offers the best postgraduate study programs. Joining a masters program from Georgia will equip me with systems, design, and analysis of algorithms, human-computer interaction, social computing, machine learning, and interactive intelligence. Due to the tie-ups with IT firms of this college, for the final project, I can get the opportunity to work with 'Trigma' a renowned IT firm that works on IoT. With this chance, not only will I acquire hands-on experience but also hone my skill set required to be an IoT developer like JAVA language, and server languages.

Selecting Georgia Institute of Technology for my master's would give me a chance to go for a dual degree program. I aim to seize the opportunity to earn dual master's degrees, one master's degree from Georgia Tech and another from its partner European university. The best part here is that there will be no need to learn French for the same; as the partner institutions provide the program in US English. A double degree will assist me in broadening my horizons in computer science.Apart from this, Atlanta, often referred to as a 'city in a forest' also lies on campus, which is an extraordinary feature for a city. Being a nature lover, it would be a great opportunity for me to study in the lush greenery of Atlanta.After acquiring much experience from the USA, I look forward to working with a multinational corporation like Technostacks Infotech Pvt Ltd. By working with a MNC like them, I will get the opportunity to work with some of the industry's biggest clients in manufacturing IoT-based projects and mobile app development.After gaining experience from this firm, I aspire to work on my long-term goal of producing Sensor-based wearables. With the help of this gadget, It will become easy for my mother to handle my brother's emotional state. This developed gadget of mine will be useful for the community, as many parents with autistic children have difficulty understanding their children's problems. In addition to this, access to IoT devices that help autistic children is limited due to their high cost. I aim to bring about a change in this scenario by launching my own product, which will be cost-efficient and available to the masses, helping parents understand their children better. By becoming a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology, I aim to exhibit my best technical skills to my professors and regularly partake in the initiatives taken by the university.
